Privacy Policy

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers the Apex Wraps website. Apex Wraps is a fictional business used for a portfolio demonstration; the site is published by Black Oak Consulting as an example of its work. If this design is adopted by a real shop, this policy must be rewritten to describe that business's actual data practices and reviewed by a qualified attorney.

2. Information collected through this site

None is transmitted. The booking form on the home page collects a name, an email address, an optional phone number, vehicle details and any notes you add. In this build those values never leave your browser: there is no endpoint behind the form, and the directory this site is served from blocks form submissions and server-side execution outright.

A live version of this site would send those details to the shop by email or to a booking system, and this section would need to state which service receives them, where it stores them and for how long.

3. Cookies and local storage

No cookies are set. Two small values may be written to your browser's own storage: your cookie-banner answer, so the banner stops appearing, and a note that you have already seen the home page animation, so it is not replayed at you during the same visit. Neither identifies you.

The demonstration content editor at /admin.html writes four further items, which hold edited website copy and the editor's own settings. They are created only if you open that editor, contain no personal information, and never leave your device. Every item is listed individually in the Cookie Policy, where you can also clear your consent choice.

4. Analytics, advertising and tracking

There are none. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no advertising or remarketing tags, no session recording, no heat mapping and no A/B testing tools are present in this build.

5. Third-party services

This site loads nothing from any third-party origin. Fonts are self-hosted rather than requested from Google Fonts, images and video are served from this domain, and there is no CDN, map embed, chat widget or social embed anywhere on the site. No third party receives your IP address as a result of visiting these pages.

6. Server logs

The hosting provider records standard web server access logs, which typically include IP address, request time, requested URL and user agent. These are generated by the host rather than by this site, and are retained under the host's own policy.

7. Your rights

North Carolina has no comprehensive consumer privacy statute at the time of writing, but visitors from other states or countries may have rights under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA or the GDPR, including rights of access, correction, deletion and portability. Because this build collects and transmits nothing, there is no record here to act on. A live deployment would need a working process for handling such requests and a named contact for them.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

9. Changes

Any change to this policy will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date.
